A report that says a struggling student is doing fine is worse than no report. Where a child is behind, the report says so and states what is being done about it.
Decisions made in the open
Fee increases, timetable changes, and policy changes are communicated to parents before they take effect, with the reason given. Nothing significant should first reach a family as a surprise on an invoice.
